Dewitt Soldier promoted to Major in the Michigan Army National Guard

LANSING, Mich. --

The Michigan Army National Guard is proud to announce the promotion of Amanda Falor to the rank of major, July 14, 2016. Falor, of Dewitt, was joined by her husband Capt. Todd Falor, a MIARNG strategic plans officer, her children, many family members, friends and distinguished guests, for a pinning ceremony held last Friday at the Michigan National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters installation in Lansing.

Falor is currently the battalion executive officer and full-time officer in charge of the 246th Transportation Battalion. She manages an organization of approximately 500 personnel and is responsible for all maintenance, administrative and logistical requirements of the battalion.

The MIARNG Land Component Commander, Brig. Gen. Pablo Estrada complemented Falor’s accomplishments and hard work during the ceremony. Chief Warrant Officer 4, Debra Salters called attention to orders and read Falor’s promotion orders, issued by Secretary of the Army, Gen. Frank J. Grass, aloud.

Falor’s children, Derek (16), Samantha (Sami) (3), and Katherine (Katie) (1) were her honored guests along with her father, Michael Parker; mother, Mary Gallatin; father-in-law, Ron Falor; mother-in-law, Ellen Watson and her husband Bill; grandmother, Judy Hasch; and grandparents Larry and Carol Parker.
