Ann Arbor resident Kathy White Promoted to Col. with the Michigan Army National Guard

LANSING, Mich. --

Kathy White, of Ann Arbor, a command judge advocate for the 46th Military Police Command, Michigan National Guard, was promoted to colonel, July 16, 2016. White received her new rank insignia from Maj. Gen Michael White, commander of the 46th MPC, during a ceremony held at the Michigan Army National Guard Joint Force Headquarters in Lansing.

White has been a Soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard for just one year but has provided a total of 28 years of military service to her country. She graduated from the U.S. Army War College in 2014 and has received numerous awards throughout her career including a Meritorious Service Medal and an Army Commendation Medal.

In her civilian job, White is a law professor at Wayne State University. She earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington and Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from George Washington Law School.
